About Luxembourg University Press

 

 

Luxembourg University Press (LUP) is a non-profit association (association sans but lucratif) established in March 2022. As an academic publishing entity, LUP is committed to fostering scholarly communication and promoting innovative academic work within and beyond Luxembourg. The Press is dedicated to providing a platform for members of the academic community to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research, particularly in English, that contributes to the global body of knowledge.

 

Luxembourg University Press was founded with several key objectives in mind:

Cultural, Social, and Academic Collaboration: LUP aims to unite individuals interested in participating in cultural, social, and academic actions that support the dissemination of scholarly work. The Press serves as a hub for collaborative efforts, bringing together scholars from various disciplines to contribute to academic dialogue and research. 

Promotion of Luxembourg’s Academic Landscape: The Press is dedicated to promoting knowledge of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and supporting those who conduct academic research. By facilitating the publication of new and innovative works, LUP not only highlights the academic achievements within Luxembourg but also contributes to the international research community.

Affordable Academic Publishing: A central mission of LUP is to make academic publishing accessible and affordable for its members. The Press is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not impede the publication and dissemination of significant academic contributions.

Contribution to Public Academic Life: LUP encourages its members to actively participate in the academic public sphere. By providing opportunities for publication, the Press supports scholars in sharing their work with a broader audience, thereby enriching public discourse and contributing to the intellectual life of the community.

LUP operates under Luxembourg law, with its registration number being F13594. The association is based at 54 op der Sterz, Fentange, Luxembourg. As a non-profit organization, all activities and revenues are reinvested into the Press’s mission to support academic publishing and research.

As Luxembourg University Press continues to grow, it remains committed to its founding principles of promoting scholarly excellence, supporting the academic community, and contributing to the global exchange of knowledge.
